PT Kawan Lama is a company that has 56 years engaged in the supplying of tools, industrial equipment, and machinery.

The company provides a wide range of industrial equipment ranging from household appliances to workshop tools.

History of Kawan Lama began in 1955 when the late Mr.Wong Jin established medium-sized hardware stores in the area 2x3 meters at Glodok, Jakarta. Continues to grow from the period of the 1970s, this family business adopt a more personal approach to customers. Not just waiting for the next customer but do come to them. Direct contact with the principal in various countries continue to be developed.

1980, the second generation of his family Wong Jin formalizing PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera. During the year 1982-1990 was the era of large-scale expansion by expanding the distribution network to the various regions of Indonesia. A number of subsidiary established by supply and serve the needs of specialty-specific capacity needs of the market. In this period Kawan Lama get ISO 9002 certificate.

Realizing the market more competitive and challenging global era, in 2004, Kawan Lama set a new vision: a world-class company. Dynamics, followed by increased quality of service to customers. It is filled with updates to ISO 9002 to ISO 9001:2000, and updates from 9001:2000 to 9001:2008.
