Cathay Pacific Airways Indonesia is an official subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways, the flag carrier of Hong Kong, with its head office and main hub located at Hong Kong International Airport, although the airline's registered office is on the 33rd floor of One Pacific Place. 

The airline's operations include scheduled passenger and cargo services to 114 destinations in 36 countries worldwide, including codeshares and joint ventures, with a fleet of wide-body aircraft, consisting of Airbus A330, Airbus A340, Boeing 747 and Boeing 777 equipment. The airline also operates fifth freedom flights from Bangkok and Taipei, its focus cities. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Dragonair, operates to 30 destinations in the Asia-Pacific region from its Hong Kong base. In 2009, Cathay Pacific and Dragonair carried nearly 23.2 million passengers and over 1.52 million tonnes of cargo and mail.

Cathay Pacific currently holds the title of the world's third largest airline, measured in terms of market capitalization, according to the International Air Transport Association. In 2010, Cathay Pacific became the world's largest international cargo airline, along with main hub Hong Kong International Airport as the world's busiest airport in terms of cargo traffic.

Cathay Pacific is a founding member of the Oneworld alliance, with its subsidiary, Dragonair, as an affiliate member. The airline was awarded the title 2009 Airline of the Year by independent research consultancy firm Skytrax. Cathay Pacific is one of the seven airlines to be ranked as a 5-star airline by Skytrax.


Destinations

Cathay Pacific serves 115 destinations in 36 countries and territories on five continents, with a well-developed Asian network. The airline serves a number of gateway cities in North America and Europe, with easy connections with its Oneworld and codeshare partners, American Airlines and British Airways via Los Angeles and London, respectively. In addition, the airline serves 10 French cities via a codeshare partnership with French national rail operator, SNCF, from Paris. The airline also has access to over 17 destinations in China through its subsidiary, Dragonair.

Cathay Pacific suspended its flight operations to and from Colombo on 26 March 2007 due to security concerns, following the closure of the Bandaranaike International Airport. The services between Hong Kong and Colombo via Bangkok and Singapore have subsequently resumed on 30 March 2008. In 2008, the airline increased services to Auckland, Brisbane, Chennai, Delhi, Dubai, Mumbai, Perth, Singapore and Sydney, while reduced services to Toronto and Vancouver. In 2009, the airline increased services to Jakarta and Shanghai, while services to Paris were increased from 29 March 2009 to 31 August 2009 and from 18 December 2009 to 6 January 2010. In addition, Jeddah will be Cathay Pacific's second destination in Saudi Arabia from 25 October, while services to Brisbane and San Francisco are temporarily reduced from September to 17 November and October, respectively. 

In late 2009, services increased back to Toronto and Vancouver at a frequency of twice daily. Cathay Pacific announced it will launch daily passenger service to Chicago operated by Boeing 777-300ER on 1 September 2011 and increase service to New York with a fourth daily flight beginning 27 March 2011. The airline also launched its four weekly service to Abu Dhabi by Airbus 330-300 on 2 June 2011; the airline's second destination in the United Arab Emirates complimenting existing service to Dubai.

Assistant Financial Services Manager (Jakarta)
Responsibilities:
  • To assist Financial Services Manager to be a strategic business partner and consultant for the Country Manager and other Department Heads.
  • To assist  Financial Services Manager  managing all financial operations including accounting, taxation, revenue, expenditure, treasury, assets & inventory, property lease, and the overall performance of the Finance Department of Indonesia.
  • To ensure generation of timely and accurate monthly management reports and data analysis for local management team.
  • To compile monthly/annual accounting schedules, bank and suspense accounts reconciliations and returns for submission to Hongkong Finance within a pre-defined time frame or statutory deadlines.
  • Credit Control
  • To work with other Department Heads in the preparation of overheads and route costs budget and forecasts.
  • To assist in monitoring and updating local management and Hongkong Finance on new local requirements and new developments which may give rise to change in risk exposure or changes in working procedures/system modification.
  • To assist Financial Services Manager in the coordination of the completion of Control Self Assessment on risk management of  each port in Indonesia.
  • To ensure proper and timely filing of accurately compiled returns such as taxation to government authorities.
Requirements:
  • Possess a recognized degree in Finance, Accounting or professional accounting qualification (SEAK).
  • Knowledge of Indonesian and International accounting policy and standards.
  • 8 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years of a management experience in a multinational company.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills for a variety of situations and audiences both in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Ability to work under pressure, including good analytical skills and sound judgement especially under tight deadlines.
  • A robust, pro-active approach: full of initiatives and proven problem solving skills

Citilink is a low-cost airline brand based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was established in 2001 and is the low-cost subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia, set up to operate shuttle services between Indonesian cities. Its main base is Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, East Java.

In 2011 the airline was operating 4 Boeing 737-300 and 4 Boeing 737-400 series aircraft. In late 2011 they started to upgrade and extend their fleet with the delivery of a used Airbus A320 aircraft leased from lsf AerCap and placed purchase orders and options for further 54 A320 series aircraft. Citilink is to receive three more A320s, including two more on lease from AerCap before the end of 2011, and a fifth A320 in February 2012.


History of Citilink
The company was founded in 2001 and functioned as an alternative low-cost airline, competing on domestic routes with other Indonesian full service and low cost airlines. Citilink ceased operations on 15 January 2008 with plans to consolidate and recommence operations with a new format and new services in the first quarter of 2008, Citilink was subsequently re-inaugurated on August 8, 2008 by Emirsyah Satar, CEO of Garuda Indonesia. 

In August 2008 it was announced that Citilink would resume services with flights starting in September 2008. Issued investment reached U.S. $ 10 million, with details of 60% for fuel, 17% for aircraft maintenance and the rest for other expenses. Under new management Citilink operates from a base Surabaya which also serves as a hub for their operations. Citilink operates as a profitable subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia in addition to other subsidiaries including GMF AeroAsia and Aerowisata.

Citilink originally commenced operations using 5 Fokker F28 being the remnants of the F28 fleet operated by Garuda Indonesia, later expanding operations and commencing services with Boeing 737-300 and 737-400 series aircraft.

Spinoff and expansion plans
In May 2011 Garuda announced plans for a spin-off of Citilink. The new business plan is for Citilink to become a separate business entity in the first quarter of 2012 with a full brand overall for the airline, including a new livery design, new website, a new cabin interior design, new advertising and marketing strategies and new cabin crew uniforms.  

An integral part of this plan is for Citilink to secure 25 new Airbus 320s and utilising these new and more economical aircraft to then become a significant regional low cost carrier with the anticipation that by 2015 Citilink will contribute 30 percent of Garuda Indonesia's revenue.

In late 2011 Garuda was seeking more used powered A320s in preparation for the launch of proposed international Citilink services in 2012. In 2011 fleet expansion plans included the ordering of 25 new A320 aircraft and options on a further 25 from Airbus Industrie in addition to the initial 5 used aircraft.

Citilink will carry 2 million passengers in 2011 and targeted to touch 8.3 million passengers by 2013 with expansion to routes in the eastern part of Indonesia and regional international routes to Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Australia.

Destinations
Citilink operates scheduled passenger services domestic Indonesian destinations as a Low Cost Carrier (LCC). They were forecast to carry 2 million passengers in 2011 and aim to reach 8.3 million passengers by 2013.

10 domestic routes connect Jakarta to Surabaya, Denpasar, Medan, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan and Batam. The LCC also serves the route linking Surabaya with Balikpapan, Banjarmasin and Makassar.

Garuda Indonesia is the national airline of Indonesia. Is the name of the mythical Garuda bird puppet in the legend. Garuda Indonesia began in the 1940s, in which Indonesia is still at war against the Dutch. At that time, Garuda flew special lane with the DC-3 aircraft.

Dated January 26, 1949 is considered as the anniversary of this airline. At that time the airline's name is Indonesian Airways. Their first aircraft named Seulawah or Gold Mountain, named after the famous mountain in Aceh. At first, the Government of Indonesia owns 51% shares and during the first 10 years, the company is managed by KLM. Because of nationalist coercion, KLM sell part of its stake in 1954 to the Indonesian government.

The Burmese government a lot to help the airline is in the early days of this airline. Therefore, when the airline was unveiled as the company on March 31, 1950, the Burmese government donated a Garuda DC-3 aircraft. At first, Garuda has 27 aircraft, educated staff, airports and flight schedules, as a continuation of KNILM. This is very different from other pioneering companies in Asia.
